The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

"Hardly a man is now alive who remembers that famous day and year."

"One if by land two if by sea"

"Beneath, in the churchyard, lay the dead"

"creeping along from tent to tent."

"By the trembling ladder, steep and tall."

I really liked this poem because it was easy to memorize. I also liked it because not like others it clicked in my head. I really like this time period in history and so I think that is another reason i really like it. I think that Longfellow made it really easy to go through and read with it making sense. This was my favorite poem that I read this year.
